About Salva Nebot
“While I was studying Fine Arts, specialising myself in Photography, began to interest me photography as a way of plastic expression.
The piece of Sebastiao Salgado with his spectrum tones, the strength of the images of William Klein and the surrealism of Man Ray, woke up on my that interest.
I began with the documentary to discover more possibilities of photography. Later on I experimented with the reproduction of art pieces and publicity photographie, ending up with a personal photography that made me create whats on my imagination and on my mind. And that part of photography, this creative part of it, is the one that interest me the most.
The fact that my photographies are mostly black and white, dramatic, where the game between light and shadow is the fundament of their composition, is released with a necessary awayness of reality and the will of showing a more emotive and perceptual vision of the things. Reporting the person on society with his riots, his fear… That human way is the one that give me forced textures, the intense lighting.”
