Jan M. Piskorski at Altes Lager

Flight and Expulsion in 20th century Europe were the focus of a reading by Professor Jan M. Piskorski, one of the most prominent Polish historians, who read from his book “Die Verjagten”, published in 2013 by Siedler.

“Piskorski writes about expulsion in European history that seeks to move away from mutual national recriminations. And he returns the outcasts into our collective awareness,” says the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung of the book.
